Mariam noted that if she wanted to experience reactions from others, they only had to find out that she did not eat the flesh of murdered animals.

She experienced reactions ranging from uneasiness to near hostility. Some told her they liked the taste of dead meat. 

Mariam looked at Rabbi Jesus, and said, "Nothing tastes as good as mercy does."
